At the auction a player qualifies at any position he has appeared in 20 Major league games at. If he has played less than 20 ML games the year before he qualifies at the position he played most. In-season qualification is determined by 1 game played at a position.
Minor league and National league players may be purchased or reserved.

A pitching staff must complete a minimum of 1000 innings to qualify in ERA and RATIO. Failure to do so will place it last in those categories.
NOTE: All remaining
teams will be ranked from 10 points down to 2 in ERA and Ratio (or 3 if 2 teams
do not make innings – the 2 teams would each get 3 points total from ratio and
ERA in that unlikely instance.)
Statistics will be available daily on the web courtesy of Jeff and Scott who shall be credited their auction fee in return for their efforts.

1 trade with each other team allowed during each trading period
1 for 1, 2 for 1, 2 for 2 trades legal during each trading period
Trades are free
Each team may retain up to 5 players that it bought at the original auction or traded for between seasons. No reserve list, redrafted, previously retained, NL, or in-season traded players may be retained for the following year.
